Éire sa Nuachtscannán, a six-part television series for TG4, is a collaboration between Mac Dara Ó Curraidhín (LM DÓC) and Ciara Chambers (University College Cork).

Mac Dara Ó Curraidhín is an independent award-winning producer and director of documentaries since 1996. He is the Managing Director of Léirithe le Mac Dara Ó Curraidhín (LMDÓC). LMDÓC was established in 2003 and specialises in documentary film-making.

Dr Ciara Chambers is Head of the Department of Film and Screen Media at University College Cork. Author of Ireland in the Newsreels (Irish Academic Press, 2012) and co-editor of Researching Newsreels (Palgrave, 2018), her research interests include archives, newsreels and amateur film. She is associate editor of the Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television and a member of the editorial teams of Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media and Estudios Irlandeses. She is also a member of the council of the International Association of Media and History and the board of Irish Screen Studies.
